The Head of Faculty is elected by the Faculty meeting and hired by the Dean of the School of Health Sciences for two years at a time. The Head of Faculty sits on the Governing Board of the School. The Head of Faculty is the academic leader of the Faculty and is responsible, in consultation with the Dean of the School, for formulation of faculty policy, organisation of study, quality of teaching and research, relations with collaborating partners and ensuring that the Faculty and its units operate in conformity with the School's budget. The Head of Faculty calls for Faculty meetings 2-4 times a year.
