We would like to point out other possibilities and here are some ideas to other helpful options:
- To get personal and academic councelling, contact the UI Student Counselling Centre (UISCC). You can book an appointment with a career and guidance counsellor on our website or by phone 525-4315. You can send requests regarding academic and career counselling via radgjof[at]hi.is and requests about disability services via urraedi[at]hi.is
- You can contact your GP and ask for psychological therapy at your local healthcare clinic.
- The 5th year students in psychology also provide psychological services. There you can get short-term psychological treatment. Each session costs 1.500 ISK.
- If the problem is urgent and serious, you can contact The Psychiatric emergency ward at Hringbraut. It is open from 12:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and from 13:00 to 17:00 on weekends. Outside these opening hours, you can go to the hospital's accident and emergency ward in Fossvogur, which is open 24 hours.
