A great selection of food and beverages is available for purchase; and Háma, the Student Cellar (Stúdentakjallarinn), and the student cafés (kaffistofur stúdenta) are open to all. Háma and student cafés Háma (UniFood) and Café's Háma and the student cafés (kaffistofur stúdenta) offer a wide selection of food and beverages. Háma is located in the University Centre (Háskólatorg), at Stakkahlíð, in the University Cinema (Háskólabíó), and Árnagarður. On weekdays, a hot meal is available for purchase during lunch hours. Háma "Corner of the World" (Háma heimshorn) is located at the Centre for Technological Innovation (Tæknigarður). The restaurant offers a hot meal with a choice of side dish. Also on offer are the Háma 'Meal of the Day' as well as soups in self-serving stations. Student cafés (kaffistofur stúdenta) can be found in Eirberg, Læknagarður, and Askja. The Student Café Bókakaffi is located within the University Bookstore in the University Centre. This café offers a variety of coffee drinks and side dishes. Student-run catering services are also housed at VR-II and Hagi. Háma and the Student Café in the University Centre are open all year round. Student Cellar The restaurant and bar, The Student Cellar (Stúdentakjallarinn), is located in the basement of the University Centre. It offers a diverse menu as well as great entertainment.
