Abstract

I am a Professor at the School of Health Science. My research focuses on resolution of inflammation and the effects of nutrition and natural products on inflammation and resolution of inflammation. Lately the emphasis has been on demonstrating the importance of Natural Killer cells in resolution of inflammation as well as their interactions with neutrophils. My research is conducted in close collaboration with Jona Freysdottir Professor in Immunology. We collaborate with Dr. Martin Giera at the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands and Dr. Benedict Chambers at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.
