The Health Science Institute is the center for research at the School of Health Sciences. The Institutes provides scientists various support related to their research, such as assistance with grant applications, management of research projects, statistics, the use of self-report measures and a facility for clinical research. Clinical Research Centre The Clinical Research Centre is run by the University of Iceland and Landspítali University Hospital. Its main goal is to support and strengthen the two institutions' research infrastructure and increase their collaboration in clinical research. The Centre provides consultations on funding, preparation, and execution of clinical research. The library subscribes to hundreds of e-journals, e-books, and databases, such as PsycInfo, Scopus, Cinahl and UpToDate, and participates in providing national access to various e-resources. Psychometric Center The Psychometric Center provides scientists assistance and consulting on the use of self-report measures in research: Advice on selecting appropriate tests Translation of tests Test development Administration of tests Statistical support The School of Health Sciences operates a Statistical Consulting Center for academic staff and graduate students. The center employs 3 -4 experts in statistics that can help with statistical analysis and other steps of the research process. Clients can send short inquiries online or book a consultation appointment. UI Division of Science and Innovation The role of the Division of Science and Innovation is to oversee joint university matters relating to research, such as consultancy for academic staff and institutes. The main tasks of the Division involve research-related funds, evaluating performance of academic staff, the work of evaluation committees, and university statistics.
