Admission requirements

The minimum requirement for admission to the University of Iceland is an Icelandic matriculation examination (stúdentspróf) or the equivalent level of study. 

Please note that all courses, exams, and material are in Icelandic. It is, therefore, important that student can speak and write in Icelandic.

Students who seek admission to the undergraduate programme in nursing must pass an entrance examination (A-próf). 

For the admission, we will look at the performance of the entrance examination (70%) and an average grade for core subject from the matriculation examination, Icelandic, English, and math (30%).

The 120 applicants who achieve the best results will be accepted to the programme.
