Assessment Tests

SIELE: Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española 

The Universtiy of Iceland Language Centre now offers the electronic Spanish assessment test, SIELE. SIELE is an international, electronic assessment test of Spanish language proficiency organized by Instituto Cervantes, Universidad Autónoma de México, Universidad de Salamanca, and Universidad de Buenos Aires.  

The exam is based upon the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is divided into four modules: reading comprehension, listening, speaking, and writing. It is possible to take individual exam modules or all four together.  

Registration and payment are done online on the SIELE website.  
The cost for the full exam is €155 and €55 — €100 for select modules. For further information regarding the cost of individual exam modules, please consult the SIELE website.

TestDAF: Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache 

TestDaF is an electronic German language proficiency exam intended for those considering university studies in Germany. The exam fee is €210. Registration and payment are done online on the TestDaF website. The next TestDaF exam will be held on February 14th, 2023.
