What we offer

At the undergraduate level, our Faculty offers programmes in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Undergraduate programmes are taught in Icelandic but some courses might be offered in English. The curriculum includes numerous practical laboratory courses and we strive to prepare our students for employment or advanced study in their diverse engineering field. At the graduate level, we offers research opportunities for M.Sc. and Ph.D study.

Students who graduate from the Faculty are in high demand in many fields of the professional sector, and their skills and education are useful in an ever-broader capacity in contemporary society. Our professors have diverse educational, industrial, and research experience, and work actively in many of the principal areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The doctoral programme is an individual research programme, in collaboration with supervisors. The programme is divided into coursework and a research project.
