Rent a Classroom

Faculty offices are responsible for reserving rooms for regular courses as per course catalogue and meetings held by University of Iceland faculties, students' organisations and institutions.

There is no charge for such meetings; however, if the services of a caretaker are required, there will be a fee. Meetings are expected to take place in a single room, and be of less than three hours' duration.

Requests for booking rooms for other uses than regular courses (or meetings held by UI faculties/students' organisations/institutions) shall be made by email to kennslustofur@hi.is

It is essential to specify the payee's name and ID number, the date and time requested, and the preferred capacity of room/auditorium.

Please note: To book the Ceremonial Hall in the University Main Building, contact the Information office +354 525 4306. The basic fee is ISK 40,500 for up to two hours, and ISK 13,800 for every additional hour.

You are obliged to take responsibility for your actions at all times and show care and respect for the premises, facilities and equipment of the University. Smoking is prohibited inside the buildings of the University and near the entrances and doorways.

UI staff can book rooms for their guests via the booking web.

Prices for rent of class rooms go by number of seats.
