The Dean of the School of Health Sciences governs its day-to-day operations and acts as its academic leader and spokesperson within and outside of the University. The Dean Temporary, or interrim Dean of the School of Health Sciences is Ingibjorg Gunnarsdottir, Pro-rector of Science at the University of Iceland. The vacancy has been advertised and it is expected that a new Dean for the School will start as of July 1, 2024. The governing board is comprised of the dean of the school, heads of faculty and one student representative.
