Tengslatorg or Careers Connection(in Icelandic only) is a collaborative platform that enhances the connection between Icelandic society, businesses and the public sector as stated in the Strategy of the University of Iceland 2021-2026. The University offers the labour market to advertise at no cost job positions where higher education is required via Tengslatorg. The University of Iceland co-operates with the labour market and the public sector to increase inthernship opportunities for students. University of Iceland and Icelandic labour market collaborate Employers can reach up to 15000 students at all levels of higher education by listing job vacancies via Tengslatorg (Careers Conneciton). The UI graduates students three times a year which results in a supply of higher education graduates all year round. The Tengslatorg also offers an increased possibility of collaboration between UI, researchers and the labour market that can lead to innovation and development. The UI, in collaboration with the labour market and the public sector, work at increasing the number of opportunities for internships for students. Students take on tasks and projects in real life situations using their acquired knowledge and skills under supervision of specialists.
