No operation due to water leak in many University buildings

All university operations in the University Centre, Gimli, Lögberg, Árnagarður and the Main Building are suspended until noon today, at least, due to a massive water damage on campus. This applies to all operations, teaching, research, and other activities.

Further information will be provided as things progress, but water is currently being pumped from the University buildings.

The media has reported a breach in a large cold water pipe in the west side of Reykjavík last night.

It is clear that there is much work ahead to get the facilities back up and running.
