Aurora is a vibrant community of staff and students open to all those who are interested in cooperation and participating in diverse and informative events organized by the community. Today, and in coming days, there will be a series of interesting events that are open to all students and staff at the University of Iceland.
Today, 16 June, at 16.00, we will celebrate the success of the students who took part in the Aurora Student Champions Scheme this past year and we especially encourage those students who are interested in participating in Aurora's projects and policy developments to attend. Students will receive recognition for their contribution to Aurora and share their experiences with other students. Jón Atli Benediktsson, Rector of the University of Iceland, will give an address, and Callum Perry, President of the Aurora Student Council and the University of East Anglia Students' Union, will go over the collaboration this past year.

On Iceland's national holiday, June 17, from 13.30 to 16.00, Aurora will present the Aurora Service Learning Toolbox. The toolbox provides interested teachers with the opportunity to learn more about service learning and access various tools to help them implement or further strengthen the use of service learning as part of their courses.
On Friday, 18 June, at 09.00 the next Aurora event on artificial intelligence will take place as part of the international ICT4D Aurora course. This time the focus will be on artificial intelligence and ethics and dr. Guglielmo Tamburrini from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy discusses this important issue.
