Studying Italian at the University of Iceland is available both to students who have no knowledge of Italian and to advanced students. The aim of studying Italian at the University of Iceland is to teach BA students to enjoy the Italian language, history, literature, films and art. Students are trained in the use of the language and acquire the ability to read and understand literary texts based on their social and historical background.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate studies

Icelandic matriculation examination (stúdentspróf: school leaving examination from secondary school) or equivalent qualification. Further information can be found in article 15, regulation on admission requirements for undergraduate study no. 331/2022.
