I spent eight years in the US Army as an Apache helicopter pilot and Aviation Officer. I decided to leave the Army and pursue a career in academia because of my passion for teaching and seeing others succeed. With a master’s in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies, I aim to help preserve Old Norse language and culture by reviving them in modern works, such as tabletop roleplaying games (think Dungeons and Dragons) and low/high fantasy literature. My end goal is to be a university professor after completing a Ph.D. in Medieval History or Historical Linguistics.
