The Network Forum is a platform at the University of Iceland where companies and institutes can advertise part time, summer, or permanent positions, or various job-related projects for University students.
The University employs student and career counsellors to help students bridge the gap between their studies and careers who can help with:

- Cover letters
- Résumés
Student counselors also assist in preparing for job interviews.
Career Days at the University of Iceland is an annual event focused on the job market and how students can prepare to enter.
The University of Iceland, furthermore, collaborates extensively with industry on traineeship (in Icelandic) in undergraduate and graduate studies in order to connect ambitious students with companies and institutes for the benefit of all. Students at the University of Iceland are also eligible to apply for traineeships at international organisations in order to learn about Intellectual Property. Application deadlines are advertised yearly and we encourage all interested to familiarise themselves with these oportunities.
The University of Iceland supports those who are interested in innovation in various ways; such as providing consultation and facilities. The University also organizes the annual competition for the University's Science and Innovation Award with a substantial cash prize and collaborates on various other innovative platforms.
Innovation at the University of Iceland
Innovation plays a huge part in the work of the University of Iceland and a large number of companies have been founded in recent years based on entrepreneurship, research and ideas conceived on our campus. The Intellectual Property Committee of the University of Iceland and Landspítali University Hospital has been involved in the foundation of over 20 companies owned by University staff and the University itself.
