60 ECTS - Diploma
The Diploma in Spanish is a programme within the Department of Romance and Classical Languages. 60 ECTS is by definition a full time study for one year and therefore the diploma takes one year to complete at the normal pace. Students who wish to continue studying Spanish at the University of Iceland may do so and have their completed courses evaluated as a part of the BA programme.
Icelandic matriculation examination (stúdentspróf: school leaving examination from secondary school) or equivalent qualification. Students are expected to have language proficiency at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
