Application materials - Available at University of Iceland

Applications for graduate studies in public health sciences, epidemiology, and biostatistics are submitted through the university's electronic application portal.  

Below is further information on the application form and supporting documents for our programs (epidemiology and biostatistics, and public health sciences). Comprehensive information on how supporting documents can be submitted can be found here.
 

We ask all applicants to use this form for their statement of intent. 

Master's programs in Public Health Sciences, Epidemiology and biostatistics

Previous studies
Transcripts from the latest educational institution attended should be certified copies (stamped and signed) and sent to the address above or submitted to the Service Desk. Transcripts with electronic signature sent directly from the relevant university to admissions@hi.is are also accepted. Photocopies or scanned transcripts are not valid documents. Transcripts should include ranking in individual courses.

Program and major 
Choose the correct program, e.g., Public health sciences, Master's, 120 ECTS. Applicants for the MS program in Epidemiology and biostatistics must choose a specialisation.

References
We recommend references from those who are familiar with you as a student or employee, e.g., teachers, employers, or co-workers. 

Résumé/CV
Keep the résumé concise. Attach a list of publications, if applicable. 

Statement of intent
The statement of intent is an opportunity to describe the motivations behind the application and outline qualifications and previous academic and/or professional experience that best demonstrates the applicants interests and readiness to undertake the studies. The statement is the admissions committee's tool to get a notion of the applicant’s background and strengths and evaluate their potential.
