Witnessing and Narrating Violence and War in Palestine: One Year Later
Veröld - Hús Vigdísar
Auðarsalur
The Palestine Project at the University of Iceland and the Middle Eastern Studies program announce an open meeting on the ongoing catastrophe in Gaza. The event is a repeat of the first event held by the Palestine Project in November 2023, featuring the same three speakers, Giti Chandra, Guðrún Margrét Guðmundsdóttir, and Viðar Þorsteinsson.
The aim of the meeting is to readdress some of the topics discussed a year ago, and examine what, if anything, has changed with regard to attitudes and reactions to the crisis, the use and abuse of terminology, the position of various institutions and organizations, and the performance of activism versus silence. The event will be in English.
