Join the conversation about Arctic Challenges on October 16th from 13:00 - 17:00!

Leading into the Arctic Circle Assembly, the University of Iceland invites you to an open seminar on October 16, from 13:00 to 17:00, in the Ceremonial Hall at the University of Iceland. This event will gather leading academics and experts for an engaging dialogue on Arctic challenges, with key sessions on Arctic governance, science diplomacy, and maritime safety.

In the face of geopolitical tensions and the growing impacts of climate change, how can we foster a more inclusive and cooperative scientific collaboration in the Arctic? What are the main challenges that emerge as melting ice opens new sea routes and resource opportunities, and how can international frameworks be strengthened to effectively manage these transformations?

This seminar will delve into these pressing issues, exploring how an open dialogue and collaboration can offer solutions for the region’s future.

The event will be held in English. Further information and programme here!

Registration is now open. Register here!
