The Reykjavík International Literary Festival in association with The Council for Disability Rights, The Centre for Disability Studies and University of Iceland Press are hosting an event where disabled scholar, award-winning writer, and disability activist Jan Grue will be interviewed.

The discussion will address disability labor, the battle against "the system", disabled university students and staff.

Jan Grue is a doctor in linguistics and a professor and writer in Oslo. He has written short stories and novels as well as academic articles. His book "I Live a Life Like Yours: A Memoir" was first published in 2018 and received highly praised reviews, won the Norwegian Critics' Prize and was then nominated for the Nordic Council's Literature Prize 2019. It has since been translated into other languages, including Icelandic in Steinar Matthíasson's translation and published by the University of Iceland Press.

The book is available at the Student Bookstore and the University of Iceland Press webstore.
