Post graduate diploma in global studies in the Faculty of Sociology, Anthropology and Folkloristics. To qualify the student has to complete 30 ECTS credits. The diploma consists of one mandatory course of 10 credits, restricted elective 10 credits (one of two courses) and 10 credits in electives. Admission is open to students with a Bachelor's degree

About the studies

The diploma offers an introduction to Global studies. It gives general insights into main theoretical development regarding Global studies and relevant concepts relating to globalization processes.
 

The studies offer insights into how globalization has effected different aspects of society such as migration, health, environment and the global economy. The diploma is thus useful for gaining of basic understanding of key processes, debates and concepts used in regard to Global studies. 

The diploma is open to all students who have completed their undergraduate studies. 

Admission requirements

Graduate studies

BA, B.Ed, or BS degree or equivalent. All international applicants, whose native language is not English, are required to provide results of the TOEFL (79) or IELTS (6.5) tests as evidence of English proficiency.
