Close to 300 candidates graduate from the University of Iceland tomorrow

The University of Iceland graduates students for the third time this year on Friday 22 October. A total of 290 candidates receive their degree certificates at this time which means that a record number of students graduate from the University this year.  

There will be no formal ceremony, but candidates are invited to collect their degree certificate from the University Cinema this Friday.

Candidates can collect their degree certificate between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., but further information on the arrangement can be found in a letter sent to the candidates. Infection control measures will be in place and masks and hand sanitiser will be available on site for those who want.  

A total of 108 candidates graduate from the School of Social Sciences; 26 from the School of Health Sciences; 64 from the School of Humanities; 49 from the School of Education, and 43 from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

The University of Iceland graduated a total of 3,015 candidates in February and June this year. When those who receive their degree certificates tomorrow are added it is clear that a total of 3,305 candidates will graduate from the University this year, which is a record.
