Orientation Days for International Students are held at the beginning of the semester, and organised by the International Division and the International Commitee of the Student Council.
The Orientation Days will be held 19-23 August and the programme includes welcome meetings and reception with music and BBQ, guided tour around campus, introductory Icelandic lessons, and advice on how to make the best out of the stay in Iceland.
The aim is to prepare students for a successful start at the University of Iceland, introduce them to the support services offered, meet fellow international and local students, and help them adjust to a new culture.
The programme is specifically targeted towards incoming exchange students, but all new international students are welcome to take part in the events in the Student Cellar as well as the guided tours around the campus. New international students studying a full degree at the University of Iceland will also be invited to welcome meetings in their respective schools.
The University of Iceland is looking forward to welcoming new International Students!
