Six applications for the position of Dean of School of Humanities

The position of dean of the University of Iceland School of Humanities was recently advertised with a deadline of 30 September. A total of six applications were submitted, but one applicant withdrew their application.

The dean of the School of Humanities is appointed by rector for a period of five years from 1 January 2021. The dean reports to rector; heads the school, is responsible for day to day operations as well as being an academic leader. The rector appoints a special committee as per University regulations, to prepare the decision of appointment of a school dean and this committee will commence their work shortly.
