Two graduation ceremonies from the University of Iceland

The University of Iceland spring graduation ceremony will be held in two stages in Laugardalshöll on 27 June. It will differ somewhat from former ceremonies. Only candidates will be able to attend the ceremony in person this year.

The first ceremony will be held at 10 for candidates graduating from undergraduate and graduate studies from the Schools of Health Sciences and Engineering and Natural Sciences.

The second one starts at  1.30 P.M. for candidates graduating from undergraduate and graduate studies from the Schools of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Emphasis is placed on health and safety at the Graduation Ceremony with regard to infection prevention.  Laugardalshöll will be divided into two areas marked A and B, and candidates will have a designated area during the ceremonies. Keeping a two metre distance is optional and there will be a special area with two metres between seats for those who wish to do so, however, candidates must inform their Faculty Office in advance if they wish to be seated there.

University staff will direct candidates to their designated seats.

No guests are invited to attend the ceremonies, however, there will be live streaming for families and friends online. 

Students due to graduate have received digital letters with details on the ceremony and those unable to attend the ceremony are kindly asked to inform their Faculty Office by 3 pm, Monday 22 June.
