The minimum requirement for admission to the University of Iceland is an Icelandic matriculation examination (stúdentspróf) or the equivalent level of study.
Please note that in the Nursing programme, all courses, exams, and materials are in Icelandic. It is, therefore, important that students can speak and write in Icelandic.

Competitive examinations are held for the BS in Nursing at the end of the autumn semester in December, with the number of those qualifying for continued study being restricted. The 120 students who achieve the best results will be invited to continue their studies in the Spring semester of the first year.
