Classes in Icelandic as a Second Language for the next school year start Monday, 2 September. Students must have shown up in classes before 13 September.
A special introductory session will be held on 30 August, at 10 AM for students in the BA program and at 11 AM for students in the Practical Diploma. At these meetings, the organisation and the requirements for the study programs will be presented. It is very important for all new students in Icelandic as a Second Language to attend this introductory session

Evaluation examination for advanced students in Icelandic
During the week of 26–30 August, students, who already have a good knowledge of Icelandic, are offered to take all 6 first-year examinations of the BA programme in Icelandic as a second language. Students who pass these examinations may advance directly to the second year in the BA programme. The first exam day is on Tuesday, 27 August at 9 AM. Students who pass these examinations may advance directly to the second year in the BA program. A special introductory session for these students will be held on Monday 26 August at 11:30 AM. Students have to show up there to register for these exams.
