Studies in Icelandic as a second language are an excellent choice for students who want to improve their practical and/or academic skills in Icelandic. Two separate programmes are offered: the BA programme and the Practical Diploma programme.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate studies

Foreign equivalent to the Icelandic matriculation examination. All applicants must also pass a special entrance examination with a minimum grade of 5.0. This examination is based on the level of Icelandic in Icelandic Online 1 and Icelandic Online 2, self-taught courses available free online (http://icelandiconline.com).
