Anne Carson, the 2023 Vigdís Prize’s Laureate, inaugurates The Guttormur J. Guttormsson Lecture Series: Hesitation.
The lecture is concerned with the experience and the value of this unique condition of consciousness (hesitation) in human beings, in animals, and in works of art.
The poet Anne Carson was born in Canada, taught ancient Greek for a living, and now lives partly in Iceland.
