Green days are hosted annually at the University of Iceland with the goal of highlighting and informing students as well as the public about various environmental issues. It is hosted by Gaia, a student organization for the Environment and Natural Resources master's program, along with the Student Council. The Green Days 2023 will take place from 1 to 3 March at the University.
This year’s theme is Sustainable Transportation. Various local and international guest speakers offer a wide range of workshops, lectures, and presentations with insights and solutions to sustainable transportation. Events include a panel of transportation engineers, air pollution in Iceland, a presentation from Strætó, an introduction to arctic expeditions, and many more.
During the days there will also be a 50% discount zone for Hopp scooters available.
