Multiple opportunities for students and staff

At the opening of the conference, Jón Atli Benediktsson, President of Aurora and Rector of University of Iceland, said that multiple opportunities had been created for the students and staff of the universities since the Aurora cooperation was established in 2016. Furthermore, a new chapter in the cooperation is around the corner at the beginning of next year with an application for continued funding from the European Union as one of the European universities alliances.

In a presentation of student participation in Aurora, it was stated that a total of 102 students from the universities have applied to take an active part in the development of Aurora in the coming months, of which 26 are from University of Iceland. The students will, among other things, participate in the development of the joint study programs of the Aurora universities.
