Students of the University of Iceland are invited this winter to take part in "Sálrækt" group counseling. Discussions there are intended to help students cope with every day problems. Difficulties addressed range from family, school, personal and relationship issues. The informative group work is mainly based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.
Group meetings begin September 28th and will be held Tuesdays at 14-15:30 o'clock in Suðurberg, room 305, in Setberg, the Building of Academic Affairs.
Sálrækt was established in 2018. Facilitator is dr. Gunnar Hrafn Birgisson, clinical psychologist (see, www.gunnarbirgisson.com).
If you are interested in participating, please sign up at hopmedferd@hi.is by sending your name and phone number. Keep in mind that availability is limited and spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. After the group has been filled, students will be admitted from a waiting list.
