Rapid antigen testing available again in the University Centre

Rapid antigen testing available again in the University Centre - Available at University of Iceland

The rapid antigen testing site in the University Centre will be opened again on Monday 17 January and will be open six days a week. It is open to all University students and staff, and indeed anyone at all.

The test site, offered in collaboration with the company Arctic Therapeutics, was opened in the beginning of December but closed during the holidays. Since people are back on campus it will open again and now between 10 am and 2 pm on Mondays to Saturdays. The tests are free of charge.

Tests take just 15 seconds, but must be booked in advance using the website covidtest.is or hradprof.is. The results are then sent as an electronic certificate within an hour. Some of the testers are University of Iceland students who have been trained for this work.

By opening a rapid antigen testing site in the University Centre, the University of Iceland aims to promote stronger infection control and increase the safety of staff and students on campus during the pandemic, as well as contributing to our society's efforts against the virus.
