Positions on job.is advertised on the University's Career Connection Gateway

""

The University of Iceland and the recruitment website job.is have made an agreement to share selected job opportunities to students on the University of Iceland Career Connection Gateway. This collaboration provides companies and institutes that advertise at Job with the opportunity to reach the extensive human resources within the student body at the University of Iceland whilst at the same time facilitating the students' access to the job market.

The Career Connection (Tengslatorg) was established in accordance with the Strategy of the University of Iceland (HÍ21), to strengthen connections between students, researchers, the job market, institutions, and society. This entails increasing opportunities for students to put their knowledge and skills from their University studies to good use on the job market and strengthening even further student and researchers' collaboration with the field, institutes, and industry. Numerous companies have already found their employee from the student body for a longer or shorter period of time via the University gateway.

"This collaboration creates an even stronger association between the students and the employers who clear the access for students to the job market and for the knowledge and skills the industry requires," says Jónína Kárdal, the University of Iceland Career Connection's project manager.

Sigríður Sigmarsdóttir, the owner of Job, is also very pleased with the agreement. "Our clients highly appreciate how will Job distributes their ads and the University's Career Connection is an important link in that process. We support all endeavours that connect the job market and students so that all parties can find their dream employee and their dream job."

About Job

Job is the oldest platform where companies advertise available posts and where individuals register in their search for their dream job.  Job's ambition lies in the simplicity, cheap advertisements and extensive distribution, as all advertisements are put on Social Media, LinkediIn, and know selected jobs on the University's Career Connection.  Job and Fréttablaðið, the largest newspaper in Iceland, are collaborators as Job is its web medium.
