One stage, One slide, Three minutes
On 8 June, between 1 and 4 P.M. (3 - 6 P.M., CEST) doctoral researchers from the Aurora Universities compete against each other in the The Three Minute Thesis competition, as part of PHD Impact. As part of PHD Impact, doctoral researchers from the AURORA partner universities prepare together and compete against each other in the final competition. The competition is organized at the University of Iceland and will be livestreamed via Zoom.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by the University of Queensland (Australia). Doctoral researchers have three minutes to give a persuasive speech about their thesis and its significance. The idea is to improve researchers’ academic, presentation and research communication skills required to effectively explain a research topic in three minutes and in language suitable for a non-expert audience.
The competition boasts a wide range of 30 talented doctoral researchers, from a variety of different disciplines, fields and backgrounds. Join online to learn more about their research and see which of the selected doctoral researchers will win.
