Multiple perspectives and diverse voices at the International Early Language Learning conference

The School of Education, University of Iceland and the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages are pleased to host the third international conference on Early Language Learning which will be held in Reykjavík on June 13-15, 2018 in Veröld – Vigdís´s house. 

The conference will focus on early second and foreign language learning in preschool and primary education contexts across the globe. The aim of the conference is to provide opportunities for colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds (e.g., researchers, practitioners, policy makers) and to establish links and expand the work in the fields of multilingualism, linguistic diversity and early language learning. 

The conference language is English. 

The conference plenary speakers are Roma Chumak-Horbatsch, Ryerson University in Toronto (Canada), Victoria Murphy, University of Oxford (UK), Francis M. Hult, Lund University (Sweden) and Gunhild Tomter Alstad, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway).

Registration is now open.

Participants can either pay the early bird fee for the conference and conference dinner (345 EUR) together or the conference fee only (285 EUR). After March 31, 2018 the conference fee will increase to 305 EUR.
