The University of Iceland invites you to visit the University campus on University Day 2024 which takes place on March 2 between 12 and 3 pm. There, everyone interested will learn about over 400 study programmes offered by the university. This is also an opportunity to get information on the diverse activities and support services available to students.
The University Day is held in collaboration with all universities in Iceland and has become a key event for many considering higher education as it is a great opportunity to chat with scientists, teachers, and students about anything related to possible future studies. Everyone interested is encouraged to seize the opportunity and learn about the study programmes and services the universities offer.
Course promotion for each of the University’s Schools will take place in four buildings across the campus area; in Gróska, Askja, the University Centre and Main Building:
- School of Education: University Centre, 2nd floor
- School of Engineering and Natural Sciences: Askja
- School of Health Sciences: Gróska
- School of Humanities: Main Building, 2nd floor
- School of Social Sciences: University Centre, 2nd floor

Introducing support services at UI and study programmes at other universities
Representatives from UI Student Counselling Centre, International Division and Student Registration will be onsite in the University Centre, 2nd floor, providing assistance and information on the diverse support services available to students at the University of Iceland. Also present will be representatives from the Student Council who can answer any questions on students‘ rights and the University social life, along with representatives from Icelandic Student Services who will provide information on housing, playschools and other services.
As mentioned above, The University Day is a collaboration between all universities in the country and the University of Akureyri, Hólar University, and Agricultural University of Iceland will present their study programmes in the University Centre, 1st floor. Bifröst University, Reykjavik University and Iceland University of the Arts will also be there on the 1st floor. Additionally, Reykjavik University will host their course promotion in their campus in Öskjuhlíð and Iceland University of the Arts in their campus at Laugarnesvegur 91.
