Representatives of Aurora Universities will travel to Tarragona, Spain, to participate in the Aurora Autumn Biannual conference on 16-17 November. The conference is held twice a year and the University of Rovira in Virgili organizes the conference this time.
The aim of the conference is to create opportunities for staff and students who are actively building the Aurora partnership to dialogue and learn from each other. The conference is also an important forum for further shaping the universities' shared vision on how to increase the quality and social impact of education, research and innovation. One key question that will be discussed at the conference is "what should the Aurora graduate of the future look like?".
Representatives of the universities will in addition present, among other things, the Aurora Competence Framework and various tools that can support successful internationalization of universities, e.g. The SUCTI training project and BEVI measurement to assess the impact of international learning on students' beliefs and values. Aurora´s research and innovation project, which is led by the University of Iceland, will also be formally launched during the conference.
Students will also present their vision for the future of higher education and present their proposals for solutions that universities can implement to ensure that all students gain a meaningful international experience as part of their studies. The solutions will be designed by a group of students from the University of Iceland together with students from other Aurora universities at the Aurora Student Design Jam, which will also take place in Tarragona from 13-15. November.
