Aurora Conference on Digital Society & Global Citizenship

Aurora Conference on Digital Society & Global Citizenship  - Available at University of Iceland

On 26-27 August, Aurora invites all students and staff at the University of Iceland to an online conference presenting interesting new research into digital society and global citizenship. Major technological advances in recent years and expanding global relations have had profound and far-reaching consequences for most areas of society and our daily lives.

Scientific research and interdisciplinary education are the foundation of informed public debate and policy as we respond to the rapid and significant social changes caused by increased digitalisation and globalisation.

The conference will include lectures from 24 researchers at Aurora universities, offering a glimpse into a diverse range of current research in this field – a field which is a key focus for the Aurora Network. Among them is Dr Tryggvi Thayer, pedagogical development manager at the School of Education, who will discuss the future of education and the impact of technology on teaching and learning. His lecture will take place on 26 August at 1.35 pm.

Further information and a link to access the online conference can be found in the conference programme.
