Broddflugan

Broddflugan - Available at University of Iceland

Broddflugan is a grant for community projects propsed by students at the School of Education. It is open for applications from bachelor and/or masters students.

The University of Iceland H21 policy sets forth a goal to increase the number of students from all academic disciplines participating in community projects related to their fields. Grants from the Broddflugan fund look at how students from the School of Education can utilize their educational backgrounds to help society.

The objectives of the proposed project must be related to improvements in the fields of education, leisure studies and activities, sports and health promotion, development and parenting, or inclusion in society. The proposed projects must come from a team of at least four students working together. The fund will award a total of two million isk every three years with the understanding that funded projects can last up to three years.

Grant proposals are due May 15th. Applications may be submitted in Icelandic or English.

Applicants are encouraged to find partners in other faculties at the University of Iceland, from other universities or from institutions in the education system. Applicants may also apply for other funding. The administration of the School of Education will appoint a committee to review the applications with one member from each of the school‘s departments, one member from academic support services, one student, and one outside member with connection to the School of Education.
