New PhD Student Orientation and Reception (held in English)

An orientation and reception for PhD students will be held on Tuesday September 25 in Stúdentakjallarinn.  Organized by the Graduate School and the PhD student and postdoc association FEDON, the reception is especially intended for new PhD students first registered from January 1, 2017 or later.  All PhD students, however, are most welcome.  Registration on Ugla is necessary. The orientation will take place in English and light refreshments will be served. 

The orientation will give PhD students the opportunity to meet their counterparts from other departments and learn about the different units of the university that offer them service and support, including:

• Student Counselling and Career Centre 
• National and University Library of Iceland
• International Office
• Centre for Teaching and Learning
• Division of Science and Innovation
• Student Council
• International Staff Services
• Student Psychology Clinic
• Language Centre
