University of Bergen was the first among Norwegian universities to introduce a spceial merit system to recognise teacing excellence within the Faculty of Mathimatics and Natural Scineces.
In her talk Vigdis will introduce the system and the ideology it is based on as well as the challenges encountered while introducing it. The talk is a valuable contribution towards the current review of the Evaluation system for the Public Higher Education Institutions in Iceland .
