Rosabeth Moss Kanter, professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, will give a lecture on leadership for innovation and transformation at the University of Iceland´s Aula on 8 May at 12 pm. The lecture is open to everyone.

In her session Dr Kanter will discuss the essential ingredients of transformational leadership – taking power to the next level of impact beyond single organizations to impact on institutions and society. With case examples, we will consider approaches to tackling daunting challenges such as climate change, gender, and racial disparities, refugee crises, and global pandemics by thinking differently and establishing new pathways for action. We will examine sources of resistance to change and tactics for mobilizing support for change. And we’ll see how small but smart innovations can grow into wider solutions.

Rosabeth Moss Kanter holds the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professorship at Harvard Business School, specializing in strategy, innovation, and leadership for change. She co-founded the Harvard University-wide Advanced Leadership Initiative, serving as Founding Chair and Director from 2008-2018 as it became a growing international model for a new stage of higher education preparing successful top leaders to apply their skills to national and global challenges. Author or co-author of 20 books, her latest book is Think Outside the Building: How Advanced Leaders Can Change the World One Smart Innovation at a Time.
