Orientation Days for International Students

Orientation Days for International Students are held at the beginning of the semester. The aim of the Orientation Days is to introduce students to education, practicalities and life at the University of Iceland. It is also to help students familiarize themselves with the campus, meet people and find out where to get assistance.

  • The Student Counselling and Career Centroffers the course The Keys to Success at the University of Iceland
  • Students interested in learning some Icelandic can participate in a crash course in Icelandic - Icelandic in 90 minutes
  • The Student Council will offer guided tours at the University Campus.

Welcome Reception

All international students are invited to a welcome reception 24 August at 17:00. Students will be addressed by Dr. Jón Atli Benediktsson, the Rector of the University of Iceland as well as by the Chairman of the International Committee of the Student Council. The reception includes live music and  light refreshments.
