Orientation Days for New International Students

Orientation Days for New International Students are held at the beginning of the semester. The aim of the Orientation Days is to introduce students to education, practicalities and life at the University of Iceland. It is also to help students familiarize themselves with the campus, meet people and find out where to get assistance.

  • The Student Counselling and Career Centroffers the course The Keys to Success at the University of Iceland
  • Students interested in learning some Icelandic can participate in a crash course in Icelandic - Icelandic in 90 minutes

School of Humanities

School of Health Sciences

Welcome Reception

All new international students are invited to a welcome reception 24 August at 17:00. Students will be addressed by Dr. Steinunn Gestsdóttir, Pro-Rector of Academic Affairs and Development, as well as by the Chairman of the Student Council. The reception includes live music, guided tour around the Campus and  light refreshments.
