A geologist from the University of Iceland will lead a walk through Búrfellsgjá in Heiðmörk along with Jón Örn Guðbjartsson, a science communicator from the University of Iceland. We intend to enjoy the autumn colors and see and hear how the land was shaped by volcanic eruptions.
It's important to dress warmly, wear good shoes, and bring a hearty snack.
