My main research topics are: • Changes in geometry and dynamics of glaciers, deduced from remote sensing and field observations • Glacier mass balance and relations to climate changes • Mapping glacier bed, englacial tephra-layers and subglacial lakes with ice penetrating radar • Ice volcano interactions • Jökulhlaups (glacier lake outburst floods)

Abstract

Eva H. Önnudóttir is a Professor in political science at the University of Iceland. Her research specializes on electoral behavior, political parties and elites, elections and the implementation of democracy. She has published a number of papers, both single authored and co-authored in journals such as Party Politics, Representation, West-European Politics, Icelandic Review of Politics & Administration and Scandinavian Political Studies and she is the main author of Electoral Politics in Crisis After the Great Recession. She is currently the PI of the Icelandic National Election Study and takes active part in international research networks such as the Comparative Studies of Electoral Systems, Comparative Candidate Surveys and Consortium for National Election Studies. She is the Chair of the Nordic Political Science Association since 2021.
