Solander's eye is a new Research Center of the University of Iceland in Hornafjörður, located on Breiðamerkursandur. The station will collect information about the changes that will occur over time in a land area that has just emerged from a glacier. The Research Center is an interdisciplinary project in collaboration with scientists within and outside the University of Iceland.
