Abstract

I am an adjunct instructor at the University of Iceland's department of physical therapy. My areas of research are varied and have changed over the years. I was initially very interested in the biomechanics of the foot and ankle. However, my interest in teaching led me to a PhD study of the ways to support healthcare adjunct faculty to be better teachers, teacher identity in healthcare professionals, and motivation for teaching. In addition, I have published in the area of patient education. I also do research and teaching in the area of therapeutic modalities that physical therapists use in their practice.
