Food waste for recycling
  • Do you have an idea of how to reduce food waste or combat climate change?
  • Do you want to develop ways to increase opportunities for marginalised groups to fully participate in society?

Now is the time to turn such ideas into action! Snjallræði is a 16-week incubator that supports strong teams passionate about solving contemporary challenges.

Applications are open until August 9!
It’s easy to apply here.   The idea doesn’t need to be fully developed - it just needs to positively impact society!

What can Snjallræði offer you?

  • 16-week program
  • Facilities in Gróska, a hub of innovation in Vatnsmýri, Reykjavík
  • Training from foreign and domestic experts in social innovation, e.g., from MIT, University of Iceland, Reykjavik University, University of Akureyri, and the City of Reykjavík

What do you get out of participating in Snjallræði?

Participants in Snjallræði will join four two-day workshops in Iceland hosted by Svafa Grönfeldt and her colleagues from MIT designX. The workshops occur every four weeks, and in between, the teams are guided by skilled experts in Iceland to further develop their projects. The workshops are thematic and address different aspects of the development process, including needs and stakeholder analysis, designing a sustainable business model, budgeting, networking, and execution.
